Development of philanthropy is one of our key programs, in addition to support programs of socio-beneficial initiatives of civil society organizations. For this purpose, as a part of the project “De Facto Active”, which is supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, Fund for Active Citizenship has launched a promoting philanthropy campaign titled “Let good become our habit”, through a promotional video and a documentary film.
As Anica Boljević Executive Director of fAKT noted, the goal is to promote and encourage responsibility, care about each other and giving, and at the same time present the state of philanthropy in our country and success stories of organizations that succeeded in securing significant funding from their community, that thanks to our support.
On behalf of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Mr. Miguel Magro Gomez confirmed the support of the European Union to these and similar initiatives. He added that philanthropy “does not always come by itself” and thus it must be promoted.
– These creative initiatives contribute to strengthening civic engagement, they promote corporate social responsibility and they help creation of a better climate for the development of philanthropy, concluded Mr. Gomez.
– Promotion and encouragement of philanthropy is in the public interest and the common good, said Nikola Vukcevic, who together with a team of Galileo productions, produced the video.
– Culture of philanthropy, solidarity and, above all, the care in our community is perhaps best expressed in recently held the first Montenegrin Teleton, which has undoubtedly proved to us that we “after all do care”, concluded Vukcevic.
